Paramount+ Cancels ‘Workaholics’ Movie

Paramount+ Pulls the Plug On ‘Workaholics’ Movie.

Paramount+ has sadly canceled the much-anticipated Workaholics film.

Adam Devine, a recognizable figure in the franchise industry, took to Instagram and divulged why the streaming service canceled the highly anticipated spinoff movie days before its filming commencement. “Welp, Paramount + decided to cancel the Workaholics movie. Obviously, this news is the loosest butthole. We were supposed to begin filming in 5 weeks! P + told us don’t fit their new “global” strategy…” he wrote.

The actor voiced his dismay due to the movie’s cancellation, especially since he will no longer get to collaborate with his closest friends. “We are deeply butt hurt about this decision because we were so excited to bring the weird one last time. I’m butt hurt that I don’t get to work with my best friends again. I’m butt hurt for the fans, and I’m butt hurt for our loyal crew and other cast members who are now going to have to scramble to find new jobs.”

Devine has mentioned that he is currently attempting to pitch the spinoff movie to other streaming services and will discuss it on their This Is Important podcast with his co-stars Kyle Newacheck, Anders Holm, and Blake Anderson.” We are out to other streamers and hopefully we will get to make this insanely fun movie somewhere else. Tomorrow tune into our podcast @podimportant to hear us talk about it,” he continued, signing off his message with his character’s last name. “As always, take it sleazy, and I’m out. -Demamp.”

After two years of anticipation, the Workaholics film was to explore an all-too-familiar reality: living and working through a pandemic.
