Job Details:

We are seeking a male actor in his 50s-60s to play the lead role of Johnny in an upcoming short film titled “As Rose Spends”. The film narrates the poignant story of Johnny, a character on the autism spectrum who has recently been diagnosed with cancer. The narrative explores his daily challenges, his evolving relationship with his caregiver Rose, and his journey towards self-acceptance and love.

• Job Responsibilities:Portray the character Johnny, who is sensitive to changes and visibly frail due to his cancer diagnosis.
• Collaborate with the film director and other cast members to bring authenticity to the role.
• Participate in rehearsals as scheduled by the production team.
• Deliver a performance that accurately reflects the emotional and physical nuances of the character.

Requirements:

• Male actor, aged 50-65.
• Experience in acting, especially in roles that require conveying complex emotional experiences.
• Ability to portray sensitivity and vulnerability as required by the role.
• Must be local to Los Angeles or willing to travel and work as a local hire.
• Professional acting experience is beneficial but not essential.

Compensation:

• $300 per day, based on a 2-day shoot schedule.
