James Cameron Denies Rumors of OceanGate Titan Tragedy Movie Project. Renowned Canadian film director, screenwriter, and producer James Cameron took to Twitter to quash speculations surrounding his involvement in a movie about the OceanGate Titan submersible tragedy. Cameron's firm response read, "I usually don't dignify offensive rumors in the media, but I feel compelled to clarify this. There are no talks about an OceanGate film involving me, and there never will be." This clarification is necessary to end false reports propagated by The Sun, which inaccurately claimed Cameron's interest in producing a movie based on the recent tragic incident that resulted in the loss of five lives just last month. The article even went so far as to suggest that esteemed actors Matt Damon and Kumail Nanjiani were being pursued critical roles while insinuating that the topic was deeply personal to Cameron. In light of the OceanGate Titan's implosion on June 18, ABC News sought James Cameron's insights due to his extensive experience of 33 dives to the wreckage of the Titanic and his familiarity with submersibles.   More Project Casting Entertainment News: SAG-AFTRA’s Negotiating Committee Unanimously Recommends Strike as Contract Deadline Passes Without a Deal SAG-AFTRA's Negotiating Committee Unanimously Recommends Strike as Contract Deadline Passes Without a Deal. "It's completely selfish and personal," says James McAvoy of filming the BBC movie ‘Together’ “Work from home” during the COVID-19 pandemic let many individuals spend more time with their families. That, on the whole, has probably been a good thing, unless your relationship is strained. Sharon Horgan and James McAvoy play a couple facing problems during the lockdown in the BBC movie Together. In an interview with ABC News about Together, McAvoy praised the film's script, which was written by Tony and Olivier Award-winning British screenwriter and playwright Dennis Kelly. Join Project Casting to access jobs you can apply to right now. With material as thick as this, McAvoy acknowledges that restraint was impossible during rehearsal. He explains, “There’s a little bit of film acting where it’s like, ‘Save it for the camera, save it for the take’… People don’t even care sometimes if you’re saying the lines in the script as long as something truthful got captured on camera, something vital and alive and full of energy… But this is so detailed and so dense… you couldn’t just save it for the camera. You couldn’t just save it for the day and hope a better truth would come out because maybe a truth comes out in the first five seconds and then you realize you have 20 minutes of this and you need to make every minute work. If one minute doesn’t work… the audience will check out. It felt like we were getting to use our craft rather than just being little vehicles for honesty and truth.” The film, in McAvoy's opinion, has the finest script of his career, with a similar tone to a true-life conversation with someone close to you. He continues, “It’s just completely selfish and personal… Sometimes it’s just as simple as, ‘My God, the writing is compelling enough that all I need to do is look into the camera and talk to you for 10 minutes and it’s enough.’ There’s something so pure about that. It’s like when you’re in the pub or your pal’s telling you a story or you’re having a conversation with a mate or your missus or your son or whoever. When the conversation is that compelling and that exciting, hours go by, days go by, weeks go by. If we can do that in writing and filming and acting, then that is really, really special because that’s real connection.” More Project Casting Entertainment News:  'Westworld' Season 4 Trailer is Here!
