On Thursday evening, sources revealed that some last-minute concerns arose regarding what the management side perceived as new negotiation points raised by the WGA. Job Details: We are conducting a casting call for a photography and video shoot in New York City on October 3rd and 4th. We are looking for diverse families to participate in this project, which aims to capture the essence of familial bonds across different ethnicities.
Job Responsibilities:

<h2 class="p1">After the <a href="https://www.projectcasting.com/tag/coronavirus/">Coronavirus</a> pandemic shutdown of all filming productions across the <a href="https://www.projectcasting.com/blog/tag/london/">UK</a>, movies such as <a href="https://www.projectcasting.com/tag/the-batman/">The Batman </a>are allowed to continue filming.</h2>
The <a href="http://britishfilmcommission.org.uk/">British Film Commission</a> and the <a href="https://www.bfi.org.uk/">British Film Institute</a> came together to create a list of guidelines that the Department for Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS), Public Health England and the Health and Safety Executive, meaning the United Kingdom film and TV production can start filming.

These new guidelines allow for productions to start filming if each episode costs more than £1m GBP (approx. $1.24m USD). Self-employed freelance film and TV workers will also be allowed to return back to work after the new guidelines.
According to Screenrant, these guidelines including training, physical social distancing, and temperature checks. While the rule has been passed in the UnitedKingdom, it is still up to productions to decide if they are going to film. Warner Bros.’ ‘The Batman’ and ‘Fantastic Beasts 3’ is still taking precautions and will start safely filming as soon as possible. 
Robert Pattinson’s ‘The Batman’ was set to release on June 25, 2021, but is now expected to hit theaters on October 1, 2021. 
In other related news, <a href="https://www.projectcasting.com/blog/news/filming-coronavirus-georgia/">Georgia releases Coronavirus COVID-19 best practices guide for the state’s film and television industry as the Peach State prepares for productions. </a>Georgia is the first state to establish official safety guidelines for film and TV productions to start filming.
Gov. Brian Kemp announced on Friday a filming guide for Georgia. Included are recommendations developed with studio officials and production companies.

Coronavirus: 'The Batman' and 'Fantastic Beasts 3' are Allowed to Resume Filming in the UK

<h2><a href="https://www.projectcasting.com/tag/robert-pattinson/">Robert Pattinson</a> reveals his worst audition and why he decided to move to <a href="https://www.projectcasting.com/blog/tag/los-angeles/">Los Angeles</a>, California.</h2>
Robert Pattinson has been involved in some of the biggest Hollywood franchises in recent history. The actor sat down with  Kristien Gijbels for the podcast <a href="https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/robert-pattinson/id1342322983?i=1000457333072" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">HFPA In Conversation</a> and shared how his earlier roles in films like Twilight and Harry Potter have shaped him since his 'The Batman' casting news.

"It's funny because the secrecy of things is taken very seriously," Robert shared about finding out the news on his way to Cannes Film Festival. "I just thought they'd all have thought I did it, but I can't even get people to come to dinner with me, let alone be able to leak stuff to the press. I don't even know my pin number."

The breaking news also leaked during a bad time for the actor. Pattinson was busy promoting his new film 'The Lighthouse'.

"It was weird as well because everyone just assumed it was true, and it wasn't true at the time," he shared. "It's also annoying as well, because Lighthouse is this little movie, and you kind of don't want to piss everyone off where they organize this whole press tour and then everyone asks you about something else...It was quite stressful."

Robert Pattinson also discussed his time working on set of 'Harry Potter' and how he enjoyed it.

"It was a really nice environment on Harry Potter," he shared. "Even compared to the movies I've done since, it was very protective. The way the kids were treated...In Harry Potter, they were at school and they were kind of doing work at the same time...It felt like a very friendly family environment."

The actor recalled one good memory during one of his press tours. "It was amazing. Especially during that press tour," he shared. "I remember going to Tokyo for the first time, and sitting in my room looking out over the city and being like, 'How has this happened?' I really like that movie...I wouldn't be acting if it wasn't for that."

Robert Pattinson also discussed his audition for the movie 'Twilight'. The actor recalled the audition process for the movie and how it changed his acting career.  "I had gone to LA because I had been just sending tapes in London," he shared. "I didn't even have my own fancy video camera. I would use my parent's old Sony handy-cam from the early '90s...I sent tons and never got anything."

Little did Pattinson know but his decision to move to LA was for the better. However, it did take a bad audition for him to learn how to improve his acting career.

"It was the scene when [Edward] had a guitar...my agent was like, 'take your guitar into the audition,'" he shared. "I just walked in and they were like, 'Oh. You brought a guitar. Do you want to play us a song,' and I was like, 'No. This is the worst decision I ever made.' I was saying no and they were like, 'You just brought a guitar into just to hold it? Why did you bring a guitar in?' My entire confidence just s--t the bed. The audition was one of the worst auditions I did in my whole life. I remember calling my parents and saying, 'I'm done, I can't torture myself anymore,' and the next day I got a Twilight audition."

Cristin Milioti has been cast as the female lead in an upcoming HBO Max series, The Penguin (working title), a spinoff of Matt Reeves' film The Batman that stars Robert Pattinson.

The actress is set to play Sofia Falcone, the daughter of Carmine Falcone, played by John Turturro in Reeves' film. Deadline reports that Sofia will compete with Colin Farrell's Penguin to control Gotham.
Reeves will be the executive producer for The Penguin, alongside Dylan Clark, Farrell, and Craig Zobel, who also directs the first two episodes. Daniel Pipski and Rafi Croh are additional participants in production. Further details, such as a release date and plot, have yet to be announced.

In a statement to Warner Bros. executives, In a recent interview, Cage was asked if he wanted to return as the antagonist Egghead in a potential sequel to Matt Reeves&rsquo; The Batman. Although a sequel has not yet been announced, Cage is already preparing. In the interview, Cage talked about the upcoming release saying: &ldquo;We have this new [movie with] Robert Pattinson as The Batman, which I&rsquo;m excited to see. I haven&rsquo;t seen it yet, but I think he would be terrific.&rdquo;

About playing Egghead, he stated: &ldquo;The villain that Vincent Price played on the 1960s show, Egghead, I think I want to have a go at Egghead. I think I can make him terrifying. And I have a concept for Egghead. So let them know over at Warner Bros., I&rsquo;m down for Egghead.&rdquo;

Egghead, in the comics, is a bald genius criminal known to be one of the world&rsquo;s most intelligent individuals. Cage stated that he would like to provide the new Egghead with a &ldquo;frightening&rdquo; new persona if given a chance.

The Batman is now available to view in theatres all over the world.

Nicolas Cage Wants to Play ‘Egghead’ in ‘The Batman’ Sequel


<h2>'<a href="https://www.projectcasting.com/tag/the-batman/">The Batman</a>' is reportedly set to film in <a href="https://www.projectcasting.com/blog/tag/chicago/">Chicago</a> starting this October 2020.</h2>
The Batman is arguably one of Hollywood’s most highly-anticipated productions. Now that production on The Batman has safely restarted, it sounds like filming will soon begin in the United States.
According to reports, The Batman is scheduled to shoot in Chicago, Illinois in October of this year. Screen Magazine reports production is set to film for five days across two weekends starting October 16th through October 25th. The report claims filming will take place in downtown Chicago and include “extensive driving sequences.”
Many DC movies have filmed at one point or another in Chicago for certain scenes. These movies include Man of Steel, Batman v. Superman, and Justice League. Most importantly, Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight trilogy made use of Chicago’s landscape and some of its surrounding areas. Also, The CW's Batwoman has filmed parts of its series in Chicago.
Reeves discussed the importance of cities in the making of The Batman <a href="https://comicbook.com/movies/news/the-batman-trailer-matt-reeves-gotham-city-changes-differences-explained/">during an appearance at DC FanDom</a>e. "It's sort of like the nature of what this place is, and the history of it is critically important to our story and one of the things that I really wanted to do because it is the center of the story - especially the history of corruption in the city. [That] was I wanted to present it in a way that was really fleshed out, I wanted it to feel like an American city you'd never been to. I mean other iterations... the Burton one had very, very, theatrical, beautiful sets - and Nolan had the version that he created in Batman Begins and that was... parts of Chicago and parts of Pittsburgh. And what we're trying to do is create a version of it that you haven't seen before."
"So some of the locations that we've chosen... let's say there's like, we have like a Gotham Square, so that's like Times Square right now, if we shot it in Times Square then you'd be like I guess Gotham is New York," Reeves continued. "But in our case, it's actually going to be Liverpool. And the idea is to go to Liverpool, where there's all the sort of the foundation of the Gothic architecture, and then add all of the more modern structures in through CG... Now that I've floated off course I've told you what it is... so that aspect of Gotham and realizing it has been for me, one of the great pleasures in getting to make the movie."

Photographers spotted Robert Pattinson last <a href="https://www.eonline.com/news/1188887/robert-pattinson-steps-out-with-suki-waterhouse-2-weeks-after-reportedly-testing-positive-for-coronavirus">Wednesday</a> in London with his girlfriend, Suki Waterhouse. With at least 75% of the movie still waiting to be shot, the new Batman movie has a long way to go. Warner Bros. announced an October 1, 2021 release date. But, additional delays could push back the theatrical release.

Robert Pattinson reportedly tested positive for the Coronavirus COVID-19, causing filming of The Batman to shut down days after the movie resumed production at studios in England.
Warner Bros. did not publicly comment on any individual's health. Still, the company said this statement: "A member of The Batman production has tested positive for Covid-19, and is isolating in accordance with established protocols. Filming is temporarily paused." 
The production previously shut down in March, when the quarantine lockdown first took place. 
The movie is directed by Planet of the Apes director Matt Reeves and centers around Batman in his second year as a superhero as he attempts to solve serial killings. In the process, he meets Paul Dano's The Riddler, Zoe Kravitz Catwoman, and Colin Farrell's The Penguin. Actor Jeffrey Wright co-stars as Commissioner James Gordon, Andy Serkis plays Bruce Wayne's butler Alfred and John Turturro is the Carmine Falcone.
"It's a criminological experiment. He's trying to figure out what he can do to finally change this place. You see that he's charting what he's doing, and he's seeing he isn't having any of the effects that he wants to have yet," Reeves said recently at the D.C. Fandom event that revealed the new trailer. "The murders start to happen, and the murders start to describe a history of Gotham. It only reinforces what he knows about Gotham, but opens up a whole world of corruption that went much further."
The movie was initially planned for release in 2021. 
In relevant news, a 51-year-old assistant director who'd died from COVID-19 after returning to work on a commercial production has shocked the film industry and renewed fears of safety on film sets.
According to a report by the <a href="https://www.chicagotribune.com/entertainment/movies/ct-ent-crew-coronavirus-deaths-20200901-3up2qyg7qvhetoqh4rzl2zfhku-story.html">Chicago Tribune</a>, Texas-based assistant director John Nolan went into cardiac arrest and died on August 26th after battling the illness for weeks.
Currently, it is not known where or when Nolan contracted the disease, it is clear he developed symptoms of the virus after he worked on commercial production in Austin, Texas in mid-July and tested positive for the Coronavirus on July 29th. By, August 5th he was in ICU at a hospital and placed on a ventilator.
Also, Hollywood is abandoning filming the United States over the lack of Coronavirus tests. A movie starring <a href="https://www.projectcasting.com/tag/ben-affleck/">Ben Affleck</a> was supposed to start filming in the United States. However, due to the lack of COVID-19 Coronavirus testing material and short lab results, producers moved the filming location to Canada. Ben Affleck's latest movie is just one of several projects leaving the U.S. for Canada, the U.K., and Australia due to the Coronavirus.

<a href="https://www.projectcasting.com/tag/robert-pattinson/">Robert Pattinson</a> is set to star as Batman. Matt Reeves took over the directing job after Ben Affleck stepped away from the movie. Affleck was set to play Batman but he walked away from the movie franchise for good. Reeves described the movie as “very personal” and a “defining” story about the Dark Knight. Reeves wrote the screenplay and is producing with Dylan Clark with Michael E. Uslan executive producing.
After the <a href="https://www.projectcasting.com/tag/coronavirus/">Coronavirus</a> pandemic shutdown of all filming productions across the <a href="https://www.projectcasting.com/blog/tag/london/">UK</a>, <a href="https://www.projectcasting.com/blog/news/batman-filming-2/">movies such as The Batman are allowed to continue filming.</a>
The <a href="http://britishfilmcommission.org.uk/">British Film Commission</a> and the <a href="https://www.bfi.org.uk/">British Film Institute</a> came together to create a list of guidelines that the Department for Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS), Public Health England and the Health and Safety Executive, meaning the United Kingdom film and TV production can start filming.
These new guidelines allow for productions to start filming if each episode costs more than £1m GBP (approx. $1.24m USD). Self-employed freelance film and TV workers will also be allowed to return back to work after the new guidelines.

According to IMDB, the movie’s <a href="https://twitter.com/cindytolan1">casting</a> is done by <a href="http://www.castingsociety.com/members/cindy-tolan">Cindy Tolan</a>. Cindy Tolan is known for her work on <a href="https://www.imdb.com/title/tt1398426?ref_=nm_ov_bio_lk1">Straight Outta Compton</a> (2015), <a href="https://www.imdb.com/title/tt7125860?ref_=nm_ov_bio_lk2">If Beale Street Could Talk</a> (2018) and <a href="https://www.imdb.com/title/tt1817273?ref_=nm_ov_bio_lk3">The Place Beyond the Pines</a> (2012).
In a 2017 interview with Cindy Tolan, the casting director said she explained how she finds new talent. Showing off the latest look of the Dark Knight via a camera test, we get a better look at the new Batman played by Robert Pattinson. Focusing on the actor’s strong facial features, the costume looks to showcase a minimal design that sits separate from the neck guard and the cape. A close look at the chest region of the hit reveals a new pared-back bat symbol, which looks to reference to DC Comics’ Rebirth Batman and highlights the intimidating plated combat armor. 
Moreover, Reeves revealed the score accompanying the camera test is completed by Academy Award winner Michael Giacchnio.

The first official trailer for Matt Reeves’ The Batman debuted over the weekend at DC FanDome. The two-minute trailer features Nirvana’s “Something in the Way” song in the background of the Robert Pattinson starring movie. The movie trailer shows clips of Jeffrey Wright as Commissioner Gordon, Zoe Kravitz as Catwoman and Paul Dano as The Riddler. The movie trailer did not show Colin Farrell as The Penguin, John Turturro as Carmine Falcone, Peter Sarsgaard as District Attorney Gil Colson and <a href="https://hypebeast.com/tags/andy-serkis">Andy Serkis</a> as Alfred Pennyworth.
The Batman director Matt Reeves attended DC FanDome and explained that while it’s not an origin movie, viewers will see Batman “in the middle of this criminological experiment and watch him make mistakes.” He continued, “He’s not having any of the effect that he want to have, that’s when the murders begin to happen.”
“This epic history of corruption in Gotham: Where did (his) family sit in that?,” Reeves added. “At the end, it’s very personal for him.”

<h4>The Batman TV Series</h4>
This news comes after, <a href="https://www.projectcasting.com/blog/news/the-batman-spin-off/">HBO Max announced they are working on a Batman spin-off series.</a>
Director Matt Reeves signed on to direct the project. Reeves is also working on the upcoming Robert Pattinson ‘The Batman’ movies.
The upcoming series will be a police TV series that is set in the same world Reeves is developing in the upcoming Pattinson movies. Terrence Winter will write the show’s script and it will focus around Gotham City Police Department’s attempt to keep the city safe. According to the press release, the series will focus on “the motion picture’s examination […] of corruption in Gotham City, ultimately launching a new Batman universe across multiple platforms.”
