Casting Call: Background Role For Upcoming Project
Job Details: We are currently seeking a SAG-AFTRA male or female actor, age 70 or older, who uses a wheelchair for an upcoming project. This background role requires the portrayal of a retiree, contributing to the authenticity and depth of the scene. The ideal candidate should be comfortable with minimal movement and be able to convey a range of emotions non-verbally.
Role Responsibilities:
Accurately portray a retiree who uses a wheelchair, following the director’s guidance and script requirements.
Be prepared for minimal movement as required by the scene(s).
Attend costume fittings if necessary and wear provided wardrobe.
Collaborate with the production team and other actors to ensure a seamless performance.
Maintain professionalism on set at all times.
Requirements:
Must be a member of SAG-AFTRA in good standing.
70 years of age or older.
Uses a wheelchair (applicants should be comfortable navigating the set in their wheelchair).
Able to follow directions closely and adapt to changes in shooting schedules.
Comfortable with being on set for extended periods.
Previous acting experience is a plus but not required.
Compensation:
Rate: $208 for 8 hours of work (overtime will be compensated according to SAG-AFTRA regulations).
Payment will be processed through SAG-AFTRA’s standard payroll procedures.
