‘Boston Strangler’ Movie Trailer is Here (VIDEO)

Date:

Matt Ruskin’s ‘Boston Strangler’ follows Keira Knightley as she delves into the chilling details of 1960s murders.

Check out the highly-anticipated trailer of Matt Ruskin’s latest Boston Strangler movie!

After filming in Boston last year, Keira Knightley stars in the upcoming true crime thriller inspired by real-life investigations into the heinous acts of murder committed by the Boston Strangler. Knightley embodies the character of Loretta McLaughlin, and Carrie Coon portrays Jean Cole. These two Record-American journalists triumphed over rampant sexism while risking their safety to uncover the truth behind who was responsible for the Boston Strangler. In the trailer, McLaughlin and Cole are seen being denied by their editor when they request to pursue the story further, even though they have already discovered that the murders were linked.

The esteemed cast of Knightley and Coon is further amplified with the addition of Alessandro Nivola, Chris Cooper, David Dastmalchian, Morgan Spector, Robert John Burke, Bill Camp, and Rory Cochrane. Ridley Scott produced this stellar team with additional assistance from Kevin J. Walsh, Michael Pruss, Tom Ackerley, and Josey McNamara.

The Boston Strangler, who was widely assumed to be Albert DeSalvo, brutally murdered 13 women during the 1960s. He was sentenced to life imprisonment and shockingly managed an escape before eventually being apprehended again; however, his miserable fate came in 1973 when he was fatally pierced by another inmate while incarcerated. In 2013, a breakthrough in DNA analysis established a link between DeSalvo and the murder of nineteen-year-old Mary Sullivan – one of the infamous Boston Strangler’s victims – that had occurred almost fifty years prior.
