Paul Ron Cruz, was born June 18, 1985 in New York, New York. He is of Hispanic-Latino Ethnicity, of Puerto Rican descent with a combination of Native-American, European, and African ancestry. In high school Paul studied drama, film, and wrote and produced amateur films, as well as editing home videos as a hobby. After graduating High School in 2003, he worked as the Manager of a Hollywood Video store in Miami, while attending Miami-Dade College pursuing coursework in Film Writing. In 2004, he enlisted in the United States Army, serving consecutive overseas assignments in Germany and Hawaii, deploying in support of NATO Operations in the Balkans, and Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2008. In 2012, he transitioned to the US Army Reserve Status and began working as a government contractor to various agencies in Washington D.C. He eventually started his own company, providing consultation to government, military, and private commercial entities on marketing, business development, technology, and information security. In 2016, he turned his attention to his true creative calling and began writing again. After a bout of writers’ block he submitted to a casting call that led to his first on screen appearance in the upcoming blockbuster film Rampage (2018). Following this he continued on screen work on the television shows “Homeland” and “Gotham” followed by appearances in the films ”Creed II” and “Wonder Woman 1984.”
