Tyler Perry to produce The Year of the Great Storm.
Tyler Perry is mostly known for his Madea movies and for his drama filled TV shows on the OWN. But, Perry’s next project is probably nothing you would ever expect from the writer, producer, director and actor.
According to reports, Tyler Perry will produce the upcoming murder mystery movie The Year of the Great Storm. The movie will center around the story of Amy Biehl, an American star student who was living in Apartheid-era South Africa when she was stabbed to death. Her parents who sat through the entire murder trial eventually support their daughter’s killers.
Student Academy Award winner Karazan Kader will direct the movie, which was written by Johanna Baldwin.
