Casting Call: Inuit and Other Indigenous Performers for CBC/APTWA Major Streaming Series
Job Description: We are excited to announce a casting call for Inuit and other Indigenous performers for an upcoming major streaming series produced for CBC/APTWA. This is a unique opportunity to be a part of a compelling new series that aims to bring authentic Indigenous stories and characters to a wide audience.
Storyline: The series revolves around a young Inuk mother striving to carve out a new future for herself in a small Arctic town where privacy is scarce and communal ties run deep.
Roles Available:
- TING (Series Lead): We are looking for a male actor, aged 25-35, who is Inuit or Indigenous. The character of Ting is the pride of his community - handsome, charming, but with a controlling and self-absorbed streak. This complex role requires a performer who can bring depth and nuance to the character.
Job Responsibilities:
- Portray the character of Ting with authenticity and sensitivity to the cultural background.
- Collaborate with the director and other actors to bring the script to life.
- Attend rehearsals and perform takes as required.
- Be available for the entire shooting schedule and willing to travel.
Requirements:
- Must be of Inuit or other Indigenous descent.
- Aged between 25-35 years.
- Previous acting experience is not required, but a passion for storytelling and an ability to portray complex emotions is essential.
- Must be available for the entire duration of the shooting schedule.
- Comfortable with traveling and staying in Iqaluit, Nunavut for the duration of the shoot.
Compensation Details:

- Travel to and accommodation in Iqaluit, Nunavut, Canada will be provided for the duration of the shoot.
