Casting Call: Inuit and Indigenous Performers for CBC/APTWA Major Streaming Series
Job Description: We are excited to announce a casting call for Inuit and other Indigenous performers for an upcoming series to be featured on CBC/APTWA's major streaming platform. This is a unique opportunity to be a part of a compelling new series that aims to bring Indigenous stories and characters to the forefront.
Storyline: The series revolves around a young Inuk mother striving to build a new future for herself in a small Arctic town where privacy is scarce and community ties run deep.
Roles Available:
- KUUK (Series Lead): We are looking for a male actor, aged 25-30, of Inuit or Indigenous descent (mixed race candidates are also welcome). The character of Kuuk is envisioned as a sexy, wise-cracking urban native who plays a pivotal role in the storyline.
Job Responsibilities:
- Portray the character of Kuuk with authenticity, bringing depth and nuance to the role.
- Collaborate with the director and other cast members to bring the script to life.
- Participate in rehearsals and take direction to refine performance.
- Be available for the entire shooting schedule and commit to the project's timelines.
Requirements:
- Must be of Inuit or other Indigenous descent.
- Age: 25-30 years old.
- No previous acting experience is required.
- Ability to relocate to Iqaluit, Nunavut, Canada for the duration of the shoot.
- Comfortable working in a collaborative and creative environment.
- Must be eligible to work in Canada.
Compensation Details:
