As a Security Officer, you are an integral part of our Security team at Trilith Studios and under the guidance of the Security Supervisor. You are responsible for protecting the safety and security of our clients, guests, vendors, employees, and assets.

 

Reporting to: Security Supervisor

 

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Driving and foot patrol of assigned areas of facilities or grounds according to established schedule
 

Investigates unusual occurrences
 

Writes incident reports
 

Interviews victims, witnesses, and suspects
 

Responds to emergency situations of various types
 

Documents and notifies management of problems
 

Questions or detains suspicious individuals or criminal violators on PAS property
 

Manages unruly, abusive, or injurious individuals according to established policies and procedures
 

Mans security checkpoints in order to screen and control access to priority space
 

Performs other duties as assigned

Must be able to follow complex directions
Must be able to work rapidly in situations of high stress
Ability to work independently, communicate effectively, and work with multiple supervisors 
Must be able to respond to fire drills and alarms and follow the standard protocol within acceptable period of time
Be able to read and write in order to review and complete required incident reports and perform various record keeping activities
Screen clients, guests, vendors, and employees in an efficient manner in order to expedite or bar admittance to the facilities
 Strong interpersonal skills and communication (written & verbal) skills required
Ability to multi-task and perform under pressure
Ability to establish and maintain working relationships with clients, guests, visitors, vendors, and PAS employees
 Must have strong teamwork etiquette
Ability to maintain confidentiality
No criminal convictions
Must be willing to work a flexible schedule
Must have a valid GA Driver's License and a good driving record
Neat and professional appearance at all times
Must be available to work first, second, and third shifts Monday thru Sunday
 Must submit and pass pre-employment drug testing and background checks
 

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

At least one (1) year of previous security or law enforcement experience and left in good standing
High School diploma or GED
At least 18 years of age
Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, and Excel) required
 

PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Adult & Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED Certification
CCTV cameras experience
 

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This job operates indoors as well as outdoors in which you will be exposed to all weather conditions. There may be regular exposure to mild physical discomfort from factors such as dust, fumes or odors, temperature extremes, loud noise, strong drafts, or bright lights.

 

TRAVEL

No travel is expected for this position.

 

 PHYSICAL DEMANDS

This role includes:

Standing and walking constantly on various surfaces (tile, concrete, carpet)
Climbing stairs, ramps, or ladders occasionally
Bending and twisting at waist, knees and neck to perform various duties
Occasionally lift or carry up to 40 pounds
Running as needed
Constant use of both hands and arms in reaching/handling/grasping while using phone, notepad, writing reports, and other administrative tasks
Constant use of eyes (correctable vision to normal level required) to observe, read, interact with public and co-workers, view security monitors: includes hand/eye coordination
Constant mental alertness and attention to detail required while setting priorities and following up on assignments
