Casting Call: Documentary Participant - Parents and Caregivers of Young Teens with Severe Eczema

Job Description: We are seeking parents and caregivers of young teens who have severe atopic dermatitis (eczema) to participate in a short documentary. This project aims to shed light on the challenges and experiences of families dealing with this condition. Your participation will provide insight and support to other parents navigating similar situations.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Share your personal journey and experiences of caring for a young teen with severe eczema.
  • Participate in on-camera interviews, discussing the day-to-day challenges and how you've managed them.
  • Allow the filming crew to capture footage in your home or another personal space that showcases your story.

Requirements:

  • Must be a parent or caregiver of a child who is currently aged 11-14 or who was in that age range when experiencing severe eczema.
  • Open to sharing your story to help educate and support others.
  • Must be located in the Tristate area, available for a local shoot.
  • Comfortable with being filmed in your home or a personal space.
  • Willingness to sign a release for the use of your footage on Everyday Health’s website and other media.

Compensation Details:

  • Talent rate: $500 for participation in the shoot and for the usage rights of the footage.
  • Duration: 1-2 day shoot scheduled for mid-February to early March.
