Casting Call: SAG/NU Real Prep Chef

Job Description: We are seeking a talented and passionate prep chef to join our production! The right candidate will be featured preparing food in an authentic kitchen setting. You should be highly skilled in various cooking techniques with a keen eye for presentation.

Job Responsibilities:

• Prepare ingredients and cook meals under the direction of the production team.
• Showcase techniques and culinary skills on camera, possibly explaining the process if required.
• Work collaboratively with the director and production team to fulfill the scene's requirements.
• Ensure the food aesthetics are suitable for filming, paying close attention to the presentation and detail.

Requirements:

• Must be a member of SAG-AFTRA or willing to work under a SAG New Media contract.
• Proven experience as a prep chef, with substantial knowledge of cooking methods and kitchen equipment.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and able to follow directions closely.
• Able to work well under the pressure of a film set and maintain professionalism on camera.
• Must be available for fittings and filming on the specified dates in Brooklyn, NY.

Compensation Details:

• SAG Special Ability Rate: $218/8 (8 hours)
• Fitting Date: Wednesday, April 17th - Pay includes a 1/4 check of the day rate for up to two hours of fitting.
• Work Dates: Thursday, May 2nd & Thursday, May 9th.
