Casting Call: Young Basketball Players for "Chicago Fire" Episode
About the Opportunity: "Chicago Fire," a popular television series, is looking for young, talented basketball players to appear in an upcoming episode. This is a fantastic opportunity for boys aged 11 to 13, who are African American, Latino, and Asian, to gain on-set experience in a professional setting. Selected individuals will play basketball in a school game setting, contributing to the authenticity and dynamic nature of the scene.
Job Details:
- Type: Non-speaking, extra roles
- Age Requirement: Boys aged 11 to 13
- Ethnicity: African American, Latino, and Asian (open to all ethnicities)
- Filming Schedule: To be determined within the next two and a half weeks. Applicants should be available on short notice.
- Duration: 1 day of filming (6 hours, with possible overtime)
Job Responsibilities:
- Participate as a background extra in a school basketball game scene.
- Perform basic basketball maneuvers and possibly engage in simulated game play.
- Follow directions from the director and crew to ensure scene effectiveness and safety.
- Maintain professionalism and a positive attitude on set.
Requirements:
- Boys aged 11 to 13, of African American, Latino, and Asian backgrounds (all ethnicities are encouraged to apply).
- Basic basketball skills are preferred (especially dribbling).
- Must possess or be able to obtain a Joan Philo Work Permit. Instructions for obtaining a permit or a Letter of Intent will be provided upon request.
- Availability for the entire filming schedule as determined within the next two and a half weeks.
Compensation:
- Rate: $100 for 6 hours of work. Time and a half for hours worked beyond the initial 6 hours.
- Payment Schedule: Payment will be issued via check approximately two weeks after filming.
- Additional Benefits: A complimentary lunch will be provided for those working a full day.
