Casting Call: Featured Extra Role as a Camera Man for "Chicago Fire" Episode
Job Overview: We are currently seeking a REAL CAMERA MAN for a one-day shoot on the upcoming episode of "Chicago Fire." This is a unique opportunity for a nonspeaking, featured extra role that promises to be a fun and memorable experience. We are looking to showcase authentic talent and provide a glimpse into the behind-the-scenes work of a camera operator through a featured spot in one of our scenes.
Job Responsibilities:
Perform as a camera man, walking around and following an actor as if filming them for a scene (note: no actual filming will be required).
Bring a professional demeanor and authentic camera operator appearance to the role.
Interact with the main cast and crew in a professional manner, following directions for the scene's requirements.
If you own a filming camera, you may be asked to bring it for aesthetic purposes (please note, there will be no film in the camera).
Requirements:
Real-life experience as a camera operator or cameraman is essential.
Must be available for a one-day shoot (date to be confirmed upon selection).
Ability to portray a professional camera operator on screen.
Professionalism and reliability are a must.
While owning a camera is not a requirement, candidates who do should send a picture of their camera along with their application.
A positive attitude and enthusiasm for participating in a unique filming experience.
Compensation:
This featured extra role offers $160 for an 8-hour day.
Time and a half will be provided for any work done beyond the initial 8 hours.
Although we acknowledge the professional rates for camera operators are significantly higher, this opportunity is offered as a fun and engaging experience, with compensation reflective of an extra's role rather than a full camera operator's fee.
