Set in 1860s Bangkok, the musical tells the story of the unconventional and tempestuous relationship that develops between the King of Siam and Anna, a British schoolteacher whom the modernist King, in an imperialistic world, brings to Siam to teach his many wives and children. With a superior score of treasured songs including Whistle a Happy Tune, Getting to Know You, and Shall We Dance, The King and I is a testament to the lavish heritage of gloriously romantic musical theatre.
For practical reasons, children must live within easy travelling distance of central London &ndash;no more than 1 hour away. Please do not suggest children who live outside this area. We are looking for three teams of children to share the following roles &ndash; this means when touring in the UK, they will mostly only be away for half a week, with a week off before the next dates. Tutoring will be provided whilst away where required.
