Casting Call: Lead Role in Feature Film

Job Description: HMW Casting is excited to announce a casting call for a lead role in an upcoming feature film backed by Film4, BFI, and directed by a BAFTA Cymru nominated filmmaker. We are searching for a Welsh male actor aged 65 or older to portray a character with a weathered, distinguished appearance and a disposition that is gentle, hopeful, and well-intentioned. This is a unique opportunity to bring to life a character that promises to be memorable and impactful.

Job Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the director and other actors to bring the script to life.
• Attend all rehearsals and film shoots as scheduled.
• Develop a deep understanding of the character to portray them authentically on screen.
• Provide input and improvisation when called for by the director.
• Participate in promotional activities for the film as required.

Requirements:

• Male, playing age of 65 or above.
• Welsh or with a Welsh connection (Welsh speakers are encouraged to apply, but this is not a requirement).
• A weathered and distinguished facial appearance.
• Must convey a gentle, hopeful, and well-meaning spirit.
• No previous acting experience is necessary; all levels of experience are welcome.
• Must be available for the entire shooting schedule (details to be provided upon selection).
• Ability to take direction and adapt to changes in the filming process.
