We are thrilled to announce an open casting call for a feature film set to shoot in Albuquerque, New Mexico in July 2024. Midthunder Casting is seeking individuals with real waiter/waitress experience to audition for speaking roles in a scene taking place in a restaurant. This unique opportunity is ideal for those who want to bring authenticity to the big screen, portraying waitstaff in a storyline set in the mid-1990s.
Job Responsibilities:
- Perform speaking roles as waitstaff in a feature film, interacting with main characters in a restaurant setting.
- Bring authenticity and depth to the character, contributing significantly to the scene and overall film atmosphere.
- Comply with the director's guidance and adjustments during filming.
- Adhere to costume and appearance guidelines appropriate for a 1990s setting, ensuring no modern tattoos, piercings, or hairstyles are visible.
Requirements:
- No prior acting experience necessary.
- Must have actual waiter/waitress experience, current experience preferred.
- Must be based in New Mexico and eligible to work in the U.S.
- Must be fully available throughout July 2024 for the shooting schedule.
- Ability to adhere to the visual and stylistic needs of a film set in the mid-1990s.
- Strong communication skills and ability to take direction well.
Compensation Details:
- This is a paid opportunity at the SAG (Screen Actors Guild) daily scale rate, approximately $1,000 per day.
- Payment terms and specific rates will be confirmed upon casting confirmation.
