Casting Call: Basketball Player for Docuseries
Job Description: We are seeking athletic and skilled basketball players to participate in an upcoming major basketball docuseries. This is a non-speaking principal role that will involve portraying famous NBA players and Harlem Globetrotters in a documentary series produced by VICE. This is an excellent opportunity for basketball enthusiasts to showcase their skills on a major platform and gain experience in the entertainment industry.
Job Responsibilities:
- Portray famous NBA players and Harlem Globetrotters convincingly.
- Participate in on-camera basketball scenes, demonstrating authentic gameplay and techniques.
- Collaborate with the production team and follow directions for specific scenes.
- Maintain a high level of energy and focus throughout long shooting days.
- Attend all scheduled shoots and related activities on time and prepared.
Requirements:
- Must be based in Los Angeles, CA.
- Age range: 18-33 years old.
- Real basketball experience is mandatory; all levels from amateur to professional are welcome.
- Must have fundamental basketball skills and a good understanding of the game.
- Ability to take direction well and adapt to changes in shooting requirements.
- Non-speaking role; no acting experience required.
Compensation Details:
- $250 per day.
- The docuseries will shoot for two days in Los Angeles on December 19-21.
