Casting Call: Civilian 1862 Project
Project Overview: Join us for the "Civilian 1862" project, a historical film shoot depicting rural life in Upstate New York during the spring of 1862. This unique opportunity calls for individuals or families to participate in creating an authentic 19th-century atmosphere.
Key Responsibilities:
- Portray a townsperson from 1862 in a rural Upstate New York setting.
- Arrive on set fully dressed in period-appropriate attire (Spring 1862) and ready for filming.
- Adhere to the production schedule, including arrival times and preparation for on-camera appearances.
- Participate in the filming from the beginning of the day until just after lunch.
Requirements:
- Must have your own period-appropriate costume (e.g., day dresses, sack coats) fitting the rural 1862 theme.
- Ability to follow directions and stay in character during filming.
- Reliable transportation to the filming location near Richmond, Virginia.
- Complete a sign-up form and submit a photo in costume for consideration.
- If applying as a family, please fill out the form for each family member, including children.
Compensation:
- $100 per participant for the day.
- Duration of work is from the beginning of the day until just after lunch, not exceeding a typical 10-hour workday.
