Casting Call: Real Experiences of Acute Pain After Injury or Procedure
Job Description
GENUINE is currently seeking men and male-identifying individuals aged 20-65 from diverse backgrounds and abilities to participate in an upcoming video project. We are looking for authentic stories from those who have experienced acute pain, lasting 3 months or less, resulting from an unplanned event (such as emergencies, injuries, or accidents) or a planned medical intervention (such as surgeries or procedures).
Job Responsibilities
Participate in pre-filming interviews to share your experience, the nature of your injury or procedure, and the impact of acute pain on your life.
Be willing to discuss sensitive topics related to your pain experience with empathy and authenticity.
Collaborate with the production team to accurately represent your story in the final video project.
Requirements
Candidates must identify as male or male-identifying, aged between 20 and 65.
Open to all ethnicities and abilities.
Must have experienced acute pain for a duration of 3 months or less, due to:
Unplanned events, such as emergencies, injuries, or accidents.
Planned medical interventions, such as surgeries or procedures.
Examples of relevant experiences include, but are not limited to:
Abdominoplasty
Bunionectomy
Appendectomy
Muscle tear (muscle rupture) surgery
Sports-related surgeries
Injuries related to the ACL/knee, ankle/foot, wrist, rotator cuff, etc.
Must be comfortable sharing personal stories on camera.
No prior acting experience is required.
Compensation
Selected participants will be compensated for their time and contribution to the project. The exact compensation amount will be disclosed upon selection.
