Casting Call: Actors and Musician for "A Marriage Proposal"

Job Details: We are currently seeking talented individuals for a production of Anton Chekhov's "A Marriage Proposal." The roles are as follows:

1. Male Actor, South Asian, Hindi-speaking, playing age 25-40
2. Male/Female Actor, South Asian, Hindi-speaking, playing age 50-60
3. Female Actor, South Asian, Hindi-speaking, playing age 25-35
4. Male/Female Musician, South Asian, Hindi-speaking, playing age 25-40

Job Responsibilities:

• Attend all scheduled rehearsals from March 11th to March 29th.
• Participate in all performances scheduled for March 30th and 31st.
• Collaborate with the director and fellow actors to bring the play to life.
• Study and rehearse lines, songs, and movements as appropriate for the role.
• For the musician role: Provide musical accompaniment as needed during rehearsals and performances.

Requirements:

• Must be South Asian and Hindi-speaking as per the character descriptions.
• Able to play within the specified age range.
• Previous acting experience preferred (for actors).
• Proficient in musical performance (for the musician role).
• Must have a Midlands base, as the rehearsals and performances are in Birmingham.
• Reliable and committed to the duration of the project.

Compensation Details:

• Fee: £600/Week
• The fee is applicable for the rehearsal and performance period.
