Casting Call: Stand-In for Feature Film in Orange County

Job Detail: We are excited to announce a casting call for a Stand-In role in an upcoming feature film set to be filmed in Orange County. Amy Hutchings and Heidi Eklund directed the movie, and it promises to be an engaging and dynamic project. As a Stand-In, you will play a crucial role in assisting the production team by standing in for the lead actor during lighting and camera setup, helping to ensure that scenes are perfectly framed and ready for filming.

Job Responsibilities:

• Act as a body double for the lead actor, following their movements and positioning during rehearsals and setup.
• Collaborate closely with the director of photography and camera crew to facilitate proper camera angles, lighting, and scene composition.
• Remain patient and focused during extended periods of setup and lighting adjustments.
• Maintain consistent physical characteristics and appearance to match the lead actor, including height, build, ethnicity, and bald appearance.
• Communicate effectively with the production team to convey any adjustments or concerns related to the stand-in process.

Requirements:

• Height: 5'10" (178 cm).
• Ethnicity: Hispanic Male.
• Bald head.
• Availability for filming dates: Weekdays from 8/28/23 to 9/5/23.
• Strong ability to follow directions and closely mimic the lead actor's movements.
• Patience and adaptability during prolonged periods of standing and waiting.
• Prior experience as a stand-in or on-set experience is a plus but not mandatory.
• SAG-AFTRA membership is preferred but not mandatory. Non-union actors may be considered under Taft-Hartley.

Compensation Details:

• Rate: $243 for an 8-hour workday.
• This project falls under an Interim Agreement with SAG-AFTRA.
• Non-union actors may have the opportunity to participate under the Taft-Hartley Act.
• Compensation includes any necessary wardrobe and makeup adjustments for the stand-in role.
