Steven Spielberg Reveals Which Film He Considers To Be “Pretty Perfect”

Date:

Impressed by its artistry and craftsmanship, world-renowned filmmaker Steven Spielberg declares one masterpiece, “Pretty Perfect.”

The world-renowned filmmaker Steven Spielberg has left an indelible mark on the cinematic landscape with his awe-inspiring, timeless classics such as Raiders of the Lost Ark, Schindler’s List, Jurassic Park, and Saving Private Ryan. For these accomplishments and many more, he is rightfully lauded as one of the most acclaimed directors ever to grace our screens.

On The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, Spielberg revealed the movie he believes is his “pretty perfect” one and can rewatch it anytime: During his discussion with Colbert, he said that it is not customary to watch his films. “I don’t look back that often, but every once in a while, I’ll see a movie with my kids.” He added, “I want to accompany my kids when they see E.T. for the first time. I don’t want them to see E.T. without dad sitting there. Especially the scary parts at the beginning.”

Released in 1982, E.T. – The Extra-Terrestrial is an iconic science fiction adventure movie that has captivated viewers worldwide ever since. In this fantastic cinematic experience, a beautiful bond between an alien and a young boy Elliot is at its core. Hollywood stars Henry Thomas, Dee Wallace, Peter Coyote, Robert MacNaughton, and Drew Barrymore ignite the screen with a classic story that earned an astonishing USD 800 million at the box office! During the interview, Spielberg glowed joyfully as he discussed his cinematic achievement’s success- boasting Oscar and Golden Globe awards for Best Picture – Drama. “Sometimes I see things that I had intended to do that I didn’t do, and sometimes I see things that would have been a better idea that I’m now seeing all these years later, but for the most part, E.T. is a pretty perfect movie. It’s one of the few movies I’ve made that I can look back at repeatedly. There are about five or six films that I can watch again, but I usually don’t do that.”
