'The Shield's Michael Jace Convicted of Murder

Michael Jace, 'The Shield' actor, was found guilty of second-degree murder in wife's shooting death.

A jury has convicted an actor who played a police officer on the hit TV series The Shield of second-degree murder in the shooting death of his wife in Los Angeles. The verdict was read on Tuesday after a weeklong trial. According to reports, Jace's defense team acknowledged that he killed his wife April and argued that he should be convicted of voluntary manslaughter because it was not a premeditated act. The prosecutor, however, argued that Jace was upset that his wife wanted a divorce and shot her in the back before taunting her and shooting her in the legs. Jace told detectives that he didn't intend on killing his wife and only wanted to hurt her. However, according to Fox News, Jace's 10-year-old son testified that he heard his father say, "'If you like running, then run to heaven,'" before firing the second time. What do you think?
