‘The Walking Dead' fans were able to catch a glimpse at the new spinoff, ‘Fear The Walking Dead,' during the show's 90 minute season 5 finale yesterday.
In the 15-second teaser, ‘Fear' takes a closer look at something AMC's ‘The Walking Dead' never discussed, how the zombie apocalypse started.
“Reports in five states said a strange virus is going around, so if you're not feeling well, go home and take care of yourselves,” says what sounds like a news reporter in the clip just before showing a zombie.
The companion series, which has been given two seasons before its premiere, has been extremely secret. The show got it's name on Friday, and plot details have been mostly under wrarps. What has been revealed is that it will be set in Los Angeles with a different set of characters and storyline, and that it will take place in the first days of the zombie apocalypse before jumping forward in time.
Season one of “Fear the Walking Dead” is set to debut this summer with six episodes, and season two is set for next year. ‘Fear the Walking Dead' will feature Cliff Curtis, Kim Dickens, Frank Dillane and Alycia Debnam Carey.
