"The Sunday Horse" Acting Auditions Open Casting Call in Atlanta

"The Sunday Horse" feature film posted an open casting call for actors this Saturday, May 31st outside of Atlanta, Georgia.

‘The Sunday Horse’ is a feature film that is inspired by the story of Debi Connor, a rider from the wrong side of the tracks who overcomes prejudice and a near-fatal accident to become the United States champion jumper on a horse that everyone dismissed as untalented.

The movie will be directed by Academy Award winner, Vic Armstrong who is just coming off working with Nicholas Cage in ‘Left Behind’. The story is written by Fred T. Kuehnert, and will be produced by Ronnie Clemmer and co-produced by John Duffy.

New Life Casting will be holding a Casting Call for the movie, The Sunday Horse, on Saturday, May 31 from Noon until 6 PM at the Rockdale Career Academy, 1064 Culpepper Drive, Conyers, GA 30094.   Types Needed: Men and Women, All Ethnicities, ages 18 and over who have experience with horses Men and Women, Caucasian, ages 40-60 with upscale clothing Male Bartenders, Female Servers, All Ethnicities, ages 22-40 Hospital staff types, All Ethnicities (doctors, nurses, therapists, etc.) Guys and Gals, All Ethnicities who are at least 18 but look between 13-17 Seedy Types of all ages And guess what....we're going to need dogs!!! Please do not bring your dog but a picture would be nice. It would be great to come dressed as one of the types listed above (don't dress like your dog). We'll take your photos and have you complete an information form. We'd like for you to look as close to the type of role you may be placed in. PLEASE BRING A PHOTO ID. YOU MUST BE LEGAL TO WORK IN THE U.S. If you have a resume, please bring one. Speaking roles are available. If you're not able to attend, please go to and click on the submissions tab.
