Woman Walks Ahead starring Jessica Chastain is now casting extra roles in New Mexico.

Jessica Chastain's new movie, Woman Walks Ahead, is now casting background actors to work on the new feature film. Casting directors are looking for people to play horse back riders, town folks, Native American drummers, dancers, and village background extras. About Woman Walks Ahead:

According to Variety, Jessica Chastain will portray Caroline Weldon, who moved from Brooklyn to the Standing Rock Reservation in Dakota Territory to help Sioux chieftain Sitting Bull keep the land for his people. Weldon wrote letters to the federal government on behalf of Sitting Bull and lived on the land for several years with her son.

Based on real events, Woman Walks Ahead tells the story of Catherine Weldon, a widowed artist from New York in the 1880s, who travelled to North Dakota to paint a portrait of the Native American leader Chief Sitting Bull.
