FX’s “The Old Man” Rebels Open Casting Call

FX’s “The Old Man” rebels open casting call in Los Angeles, California.

FX’s The Old Man is looking for a few good men! They are currently casting the Afghanistan scenes and seeking Union & Non-Union males to portray 18 to ’50s to appear Middle Eastern. They are also taking submissions from both bearded and not bearded men.

They will be doing Covid Test on Tuesday, 3/14, with various locations around the city; Costume Fitting on Thursday, 3/16, in Los Angeles; Covid Test on Monday, 3/20, in the Los Angeles area; and Shooting on Wednesday, 3/22 through Friday, 3/24 in Santa Clarita.

Future work dates include Test on Monday, 4/3 (Los Angeles area); Shooting on Wednesday, 4/5 through Monday, 4/10 (Santa Clarita); Test on Saturday, 4/22 (Los Angeles area); and Shoot Mondays, 4/24 through 5/1 (Santa Clarita).

SAG Rates include $100/4 for Testing Days, 187/8 for shoot Days, and 46.75/2 for Costume Fitting, while Non-Union Rates include $33/2 for Testing Days, 132/8 for shoot days, and $33/2 for Costume Fittings.

About ‘The Old Man’:

The Old Man is a drama series on FX that follows the life of Dan Chase, an elderly ex-CIA agent living off the grid in rural Vermont. After he’s targeted by a group of Russian assassins, Dan must rely on his special skills and decades of experience to protect himself and his loved ones from harm. Along the way, he discovers secrets about his past that complicate his present situation, while coming to terms with an uncertain future as a man in his seventies. FX’s “The Old Man” Rebels Open Casting Call

Must be registered with Central Casting. 

We are starting to cast the Afghanistan scenes for The Old Man. 

We are starting to test on Monday, and we will try on Weds to start work for the season, which begins on Monday, March 21st.  

We are starting with casting men and hiring people to work throughout the season. One of those situations is when we will release a large pool of people and check with you when we get shooting schedules. This will work intermittently for the next few months in Santa Clarita. The call times will probably be early on this show because we have so much to shoot.  

Below is what we are casting right now — we are only releasing men now; the women will be fitting in a week or so: 

Union & Non-Union Males to portray 18 to ’50s to appear Middle Eastern.

We are looking for men with beards, but I am taking submissions for both bearded and not bearded. 

Covid Test on Tuesday, 3/14 (Various Locations around the city) 

Costume Fitting on Thursday, 3/16 (Los Angeles) 

Covid Test on Monday, 3/20 (Los Angeles area) 

Shoot on Weds 3/22, Thurs 3/23, Friday 3/24 (Santa Clarita)
