About the ‘Boston Strangler' Movie

It will focus on the beginning of Boston's most famous killer, Albert DeSalvo.

DeSalvo has famously been called Boston's “modern-day Jack the Ripper.” He confessed to murdering 13 women throughout Boston during the 1960s; however, after his confessions were made public, Boston investigators announced that they believed him to be responsible for the Boston Strangler murders.

The American drama The Boston Strangler, written and directed by Matt Ruskin, is based on the true tale of the Boston Strangler, who murdered 13 women in Boston, Massachusetts in the 1960s.

The movie stars  as Loretta McLaughlin, the reporter who broke the story. Carrie Coon, Alessandro Nivola, Chris Cooper, and David Dastmalchian also star in Boston Strangler. Filming began in the Boston area in December 2021. The film is scheduled to be theatrically released in the United States by 20th Century Studios.

Loretta McLaughlin was the reporter who broke the story of the Boston Strangler. In the 1970s, McLaughlin and reporter Jean Cole blew open a mystery that had haunted Boston. They pursued the story at personal risk, revealing wrongdoing that cast on the strangler's .
