The screenwriters told Post Cred Pod, “I think it presents a wonderful opportunity for fish-out-of-water. Deadpool is a lunatic at the center of a movie. Usually, the lunatics are the supporting characters, and the protagonists are reasonably sane. Our movie’s flipped. To drop a lunatic into a very sane world it’s straight butter. It’s going to be really fun.”

It appears that in the sequel, Ryan Reynolds will be playing a fish out of water. This implies they will have a lot of fun with it, especially given that Deadpool is familiar with the new universe he finds himself in. Reese mentioned during an interview for Chris Hemsworth’s Spiderhead, writing: “The MCU is an amazing sandbox to play in. We’ll throw lots of cliches as well because we’re giving it 110% man or taking it one day at a time. It’s the Bull Durham thing. Like we’re taking it one day at a time. We can’t divulge details but suffice it to say that when Ryan and Paul, and I are on Zoom together, we are cackling. So, it’s pretty fun.”

The coming Deadpool sequel will be the first R-rated Disney film, according to the duos; despite the move from the production studio, the film will not be less graphic. When Disney acquired 20th Century Fox’s first two Deadpool movies, he would join the MCU.
