Snoop Dogg’s son Cordell Broadus just quit UCLA football.

Cordell Broadus, the son of rapper Snoop Dogg, has decided to quit football. Despite being a four-star receiver prospect, having a rapper father, and a reality TV show on ESPN, and ranked as one of the best high school athletes from Las Vegas Bishop Gorman, according to Scout.com. He had not reported to UCLA’s fall camp in San Bernadino, California, this week and then told head coach Jim Mora on Thursday that he decided to pursue “other passions in his life.”

“Cordell informed me yesterday that he has decided to pursue other passions in his life — in particular his love of film through his company Film School Productions,” Mora said in a statement. “Cordell is an amazing young man with many talents, and we wish him nothing but the best as he continues to pursue his degree at UCLA.”

The incoming freshman attended UCLA’s summer session, which will allow Broadus to remain enrolled at UCLA for the fall.
