VH1 Cancels ‘Hindsight’ After Only One Season

VH1 is giving up on ‘Hindsight’ after only one season.

“Scripted series have been a successful part of VH1’s primetime line-up since 2010 and will continue to be in the future,” VH1 said in a statement. “We love Hindsight and couldn’t be more proud of the series. But in this overcrowded and rapidly changing climate, we need to carve out VH1’s distinct place in the scripted marketplace and deliver the biggest audiences possible for our series. As a result, we’re no longer moving forward with a second season of the show. We’re so appreciative of show creator Emily Fox, the cast and the creative and production teams and look forward to working with them again.”

The series stars Laura Ramsey as Becca, a woman who on the eve of her second wedding in 2015, is transported back 20 years to the morning of her first wedding. The series was created by Fox, who produced with Carl Beverly and Sarah Timberman.

VH1’s ‘Hindsight’ filmed in Atlanta, Georgia and was reported to film in Los Angeles, California after the state’s film industry approved the show for TV tax incentives.

Recently, VH1 canceled Single Ladies, which was revived for a fourth season by BET off-shoot Centric.

The network also is developing drama The Breaks.
