‘Twisted Metal’ Live-Action Series is Coming Soon to Peacock

The live-action adaptation of the iconic Playstation game Twisted Metal will reportedly hit Peacock streaming platforms. The action-comedy series is co-produced by Sony Pictures Television, Playstation Productions, and Universal Television. Each episode will be 30 minutes long.

Anthony Mackie will star as John Doe. Mackie will also work as an executive producer for the Electronic Avenue production company. Michael Jonathan Smith will write and executive produce the series and work as the showrunner.

The live-action adaptation will center around John Doe, who happens to stumble upon a strange package in a post-apocalyptic wasteland, which offers him a chance at a better life. He has to compete in an annual vehicular combat tournament by “Calypso.” Calypso awards the winner of her enigmatic contest with a single wish.
