Paramount Hires Creator of ‘The Walking Dead’ for ‘Transformers’ Spinoffs and Sequel

Paramount hires the creator of ‘The Walking Dead’ to help write and create the new series of ‘Transformers’ movies.

Paramount hires the creator of ‘The Walking Dead‘ and other two screenwriters to write the ‘Transformers‘ sequel and spinoffs.

According to reports, screenwriters from ‘Iron Man,’ ‘Amazing Spider-Man’ are joining forces to write the sequel and spinoffs of ‘Transfromers’.

Robert Kirkman, creator of ‘The Walking Dead’ comic book series, ‘Iron Man’ screenwriters Matt Holloway and Art Marcum, Jeff Pinkner of ‘The Amazing Spider-Man 2’ and Zak Penn, who wrote the script for ‘Pacific Rim 2’ are signing contracts. The new job responsibility for these writers is to come up with new plot lines and stories for the Transformers franchise.

Akiva Goldsman will team up with Michael Bay to executive produce to develop the sequels and spinoffs.

Paramount is trying to compete with Marvel’s cinematic universe of superheroes and Disney’s expanding ‘Star Wars’ franchise.

The ‘Transformers’ franchise was wildly popular in the United States. The last ‘Transformer’ movie was a major disappointment for Paramount in the box office. However, it was extremely popular overseas especially in China.
