The Office reboot is currently in development at NBC.

Following the success of the return of Will & Grace, NBC is looking to reboot another one of their beloved comedies, The Office.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the network is looking to bring back the hit TV series for another season. However, Steve Carell will not return. A search is currently underway to find a new star to take over as the show’s Michael Scott-like regional manager of Dunder Mifflin. The Office may be rebooted with a new cast and creator Greg Daniels attached to the project.

The Office ran for nine seasons on NBC. The show, which made Steve Carell, Rainn Wilson, John Krasinski, Jenna Fischer, Craig Robinson, Ellie Kemper, and Mindy Kaling household names. The show also won multiple Emmys, Golden Globes and other top awards. Carell left the show after season seven, with The Office.

The show was created by Greg Daniels and was adapted from the British comedy series starring Ricky Gervais.
