Based on the best-selling comic book series from Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson, The Boys tells the story of a ragtag team of vigilantes out to take down corrupt superheroes who are using their powers for personal gain. Led by Billy Butcher (Karl Urban) and his recruit Hughie Campbell (Jack Quaid), The Boys must fight against sinister conspiracies in a world where power corrupts absolutely.

As the production of season four of The Boys kicks off, fans are left to wonder with eager anticipation if this is the show’s swan song. Recently, showrunner Eric Kripke took to the social media platform Twitter to correct any potential misunderstandings.

Kripke is assuaging fans’ worries on Twitter by sharing that he is hard at crafting a brand-new season. “Season 4 finale. No, not the series finale; there will be more!” No definitive statement has been made regarding a fifth season or the number of future seasons in which The Boys will be available on Amazon Prime Video. Kripke has declared that he’s still not finished with the show, signaling an exciting future ahead.

Just recently, Kripke shared an image of the closing episode for season four on Twitter. The trailer for the grand finale tantalizingly revealed that its name is befitting of the monumental event. “Assassination Run” is written by Jessica Chou and David Reed. Kripke is helming the episode, and filming has already begun in Toronto. After a great battle, Jensen Ackles’ Soldier Boy was ultimately crushed and frozen once more in the season three finale. A devastating prognosis informed Billy Butcher that his life expectancy was a mere 12 to 18 months. United, the collective is determined to do whatever is necessary to prepare for battle against Homelander and his fellow Supes.

This show is already turning heads and getting rave reviews – critics love its unique blend of offbeat humor, background satire, and mind-blowing action scenes. It also has an all-star cast including Karl Urban, Jack Quaid, Antony Starr and Erin Moriarty. Plus it has something for everyone! Whether you’re looking for a chance to escape into another world or just want to see some kick-ass superhero fighting, this show will keep you entertained.
