Liam Neeson’s ‘Taken’ is getting turned into a TV series.

Liam Neeson’s Taken, was a Box Office hit movie that scared Americans from visiting Europe and had millions all over the world on the edge of their seat. Now, producers are turning the action film into a TV series.

According to Deadline, NBC is now working on a Taken TV series. The new series will be executive produced by Homeland’s Alexander Cary. Cary will write the TV adaptation of the Taken series due to his overall deal with Universal TV. He is also writing and executive producing the new NBC series The Watcher. Cary spent the past four years working on Homeland.

The new Taken series is a modern-day prequel to Luc Busson’s blockbuster feature film franchise that starred Liam Neeson who plays a retired CIA operative Bryan Mills on a one-man mission to save his kidnapped child. The new TV series will focus on a younger version of Bryan Mills as he develops his set of skills.
