Take a First Look at Peacock’s ‘John Wick’ Spinoff ‘The Continental’

Introducing Peacock’s Highly Anticipated ‘John Wick’ Spinoff Series: ‘The Continental’

Peacock has unveiled an exciting sneak peek of ‘The Continental,’ the much-anticipated spinoff series based on the popular ‘John Wick franchise.

Promising to be an enthralling “three-part event,” the show will delve deep into the origins of The Continental, the iconic hotel for assassins that has captivated audiences in the John Wick universe. Viewers will experience the story through the eyes of a young Winston Scott, a former MI6 agent who ultimately becomes the esteemed owner of the hotel. The show’s press release stated, “While the four Wick films occur within a three-month timeframe, filled with relentless chases and pursuits, there needs to be more room for the audience to immerse themselves in the world and its inhabitants truly. With our show, The Continental, we finally have the opportunity to explore these fascinating characters, their journeys, and the evolution of The Continental into the epicenter of this unique universe. Additionally, we will introduce compelling new characters that rival any within the John Wick franchise.” The release further teased “mind-blowingly cool and inventive action, packed with Easter eggs to thrill the most dedicated Wick fans” and promised “a vision of ’70s New York that encompasses the seductive, edgy, and visually striking style that the franchise is renowned for. This show will surpass all others in terms of its visual and auditory appeal.”

The show’s stellar cast includes Mel Gibson, Colin Woodell, Mishel Prada, Ben Robson, Hubert Point-Du Jour, Nhung Kate, Jessica Allain, Ayomide Adegun, Jeremy Bobb, and Peter Greene. The series was developed, written, and executive produced by Greg Coolidge, Kirk Ward, and Shawn Simmons, along with Basil Iwanyk, Erica Lee, Albert Hughes, Chad Stahelski (director of the John Wick films), Derek Kolstad, David Leitch, Paul Wernick, Rhett Reese, and Marshall Persinger. Albert Hughes directed the first and third parts, while Charlotte Brandstrom helmed Part 2.
