The newest live-action Star Wars TV series debuted on Disney’s streaming service over the weekend and is named after Obi-Wan Kenobi. Events in the narrative follow from Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith with Evan McGregor reprising his role as the leading protagonist.

Lucasfilm’s presence in Disney’s streaming services has been long-standing, dating back to 2019 with the rating success of The Mandalorian.

Lucasfilm’s new accomplishment that no other premiere has achieved on the streaming service. Loki previously held the record. The program has also increased the viewership of other Star Wars content on the platform.
