Sylvester Stallone exits Godforsaken days before filming was set to begin.

Sylvester Stallone has decided not to star in the STX Entertainment and Atlanta filmed action thriller Godforsaken. Filming was going to start in less than two weeks, according to TheWrap.

Sylvester Stallone was going to play an ex-con who learns that his son has been killed. He goes on a mission to protect the rest of his family while seeking vengeance against his son’s killers. Filming was expected to start shooting as early as December 5th in Atlanta, Georgia.

This would be Stallone’s first movie since getting nominated for an Academy Award for his role in the Ryan Coogler boxing movie Creed. He is also set to star in Antoine Fuqua’s Mafia TV series Omerta.

Jim Mickle is set to direct Godforsaken but, there is no word if filming will continue without Sylvester Stallone.
