TNT’s ‘The Snowpiercer’ to end after its upcoming fourth season.

Bong Joon-ho’s film, which launched the television series four years ago with Jennifer Connelly and Daveed Diggs in leading roles, has been widely acclaimed by critics. The show will come to an end following its upcoming fourth season that is currently being produced.

The Hollywood Reporter quoted the network TNT as saying, “We can confirm that ‘Snowpiercer’ will end after a successful, multi-season run on TNT. Its talented writers, actors, and crew took an extraordinary premise and brought it to life in thrilling ways. It was critically acclaimed, had a significant impact on the post-apocalyptic genre, and now remains in the hearts and minds of fans forever.”

The train-focused series, which has had its ups and downs, started with four different showrunners before recruiting Emmy-nominated Paul Zbyszewski, known for his work in the successful series, ‘Lost,’ as lead writer and producer.

The award-winning film adaptation of Bong Joon Ho’s terrifying story was based on the 1982 French graphic novel ‘Le Transperceneige’ by Jacques Lob. This spine-tingling drama stars Chris Evans, Song Kang Ho, Tilda Swinton, Jamie Bell, and Octavia Spencer to name just a few!
