Sharknado 2: The Second One was the SyFy network’s most watched original movie.

Sharknado 2: The Second One centers on a freak weather system that turns deadly fury on New York City, unleashing a Sharknado on the population. Only Fin and April can save the Big Apple.

It was directed by Anthony C. Ferrante, with Tara Reid and Ian Ziering reprising their roles from the first film. Also joining the cast are Vivica A. FoxKari WuhrerKelly OsbourneJudah Friedlander and several celebrity cameo appearances.

Surprisingly, critics hated the movie. Brian Lowry of Variety said the CGI sharks looked terrible. Neil Genzlinger of The New York Times said that it looks nothing more than dumb fun. Verne Gay of Newsday wrote that the film does not take itself seriously as the original and the sequel is not as good as the first. But, Caroline Framke of The A.V Club gave the film an ‘A’, saying “over-hyped sequel has zero business being this much fun”.
