Police officers were summoned multiple times in response to countless reports of ‘Scream VI’ Ghostface sightings spanning the United States.

Reports have surfaced that Paramount Pictures has initiated a sensational viral marketing campaign to build hype around their newest installment in the Scream franchise, Scream VI. Continuing the legacy of Wes Craven’s iconic slasher horror series, Ghostface has become a recent cultural phenomenon quickly sweeping across the United States.

As the infamous Ghostface made his way to cities such as Sonoma, New Orleans, and St. Louis from the well-known franchise, panic ensued when vigilant citizens reported sightings to their corresponding local police departments. The legendary slasher had arrived in town!

Paramount has started a Twitter account for the campaign, featuring Ghostface in various locations across America. Playfully ominous captions like “I was just minding my business” and “I’m watching you” accompany images of this mysterious figure, heightening anticipation around his arrival.

Take a peek at the campaign for Scream VI to make its way to theaters on March 10.

About the ‘Scream’ movie franchise:

The ‘Scream’ franchise is an iconic horror movie series created by Wes Craven and Kevin Williamson. The series follows the story of a serial killer known as Ghostface who terrorizes the fictional town of Woodsboro, California. It has spawned five sequels over the years, with most of them being critically and commercially well-received. The series is well known for its innovative use of horror movie tropes, self-referential humor, and iconic one-liners. The success of the original ‘Scream’ has led to a surge in slasher films over the years, with an increasing focus on postmodernism. With Scream VI set to be released this March, fans eagerly await the next installment in this beloved horror franchise.
