Saturday Night Live’s Ratings Reach 7-Year High

Variety Reports that Saturday Night Live’s Most recent episode featuring Melissa McCarthy had an average rating of 2.7 in adults ages 18 to 49 and have over 10 million viewers. According to this data, that is the highest rating for a Saturday Night Live episode since Justin Timberlake and Lady Gaga appeared on an episode in 2011.

Saturday’s episode featured several political sketches including Alec Baldwin’s impression of Donald Trump and Melissa McCarthy’s impression of Sean Spicer. Ultimately, it has been a crazy year at SNL considering the current political climate. People are definitely interested in political sketches surrounding the Trump White House. Moreover, Stephen Colbert has seen his numbers skyrocket as he takes on Trump on a nightly basis with the Late Show.
