‘Rush Hour’ TV Series is Coming Soon

Producers are in development for a ‘Rush Hour’ TV Series

Jackie Chan may be one of the smartest business men in Hollywood. A few months ago, he revealed in an interview he revealed why he turned down a role on The Expendables 2 and 3 saying that he didn’t like the idea that he would only be on the screen for five minutes. He argued that he told Sylvester Stallone that he would do it if it was just the two of them on screen together, fighting the villains. But, Stallone refused the offer.

In addition, Jackie Chan admitted that he has been approached to star in Rush Hour 4, but he refused to do it because he wanted to see a script first. “I don’t need another Rush Hour 4,” he said. “You need Rush Hour 4. Show me the script.” It looks as though they never showed him the script, because instead of bringing back Chris Tucker and Jackie Chan for a fourth time, Warner Bros. TV is looking into creating an hour-long Rush Hour action comedy series.

According to Deadline, the creator of Scrubs and Cougar Town, Bill Lawrence is set to co-write and executive produce the TV series alongside Blake McCormick. The TV series will center around a “cocky black LAPD officer” who reluctantly teams up with “A stoic, by-the-book Hong Kong police officer.”

Hopefully, the casting director will do an amazing job matching the chemistry Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker had in the original film’s trilogy. Perhaps Ken Jeong and Kevin Hart?
