Quentin Tarantino reveals the filming location of his next movie ‘Hateful Eight’.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, several states were battling to have Quentin Tarantino film his new movie ‘Hateful Eight’. But, at the end of the day, Colorado won the battle over the director of ‘Pulp Fiction’. In a deal that would give the studio $5 million incentive package, The Hateful Eight will film in the green hills of Colorado.

The state Economic Development Commission approved the package Friday. The Denver Post reports that Colorado’s incentives beat out those of Utah and Wyoming. The film could be filmed on a 900-acre ranch west of the ski town of Telluride, depending on local permit approval. [Source]

Quentin Tarantino’s new movie has a scheduled budget of 44 million and would be the biggest movie to film in Colorado since 1969’s True Grit.

The upcoming feature film, ‘The Hateful Eight’ is set in the early 1870s and will be released in 2015. The movie centers around a post-Civil War Wyoming as bounty hunters try to find shelter during a blizzard but get involved in a plot of betrayal and deception.

In 2013, Quentin Tarantino revealed that he would be making a Western movie. He pointed out it would be not a sequel to Django Unchained but would be similar to the Jamie Foxx production. But, in the summer of 2014 the script for the film leaked online. Tarantino considered quitting the movie and turning it into a novel instead.

In April 19, Tarantino directed a live reading of the leaked scripted in Los Angeles. Actors who joined Tarantino included Samuel L. Jackson, Kurt Russell, Amber Tamblyn, James Parks, Bruce Dern, Tim Roth and Michael Madsen.

It was not until the 2014 San Diego Comic-Con did he confirm that he would be making the film, and that he was working on another draft. It is rumored that Jennifer Lawrence would star in the movie alongside Viggo Mortensen.
