Looking back at his four movies as 007, Pierce Brosnan says that watching himself as James Bond  is a “horrible feeling”.

Pierce Brosnan seems like he is a tough personal critic. In a recent interview with Britain’s The Telegraph, the actor says that he does not have a desire to watch himself as James Bond, saying his performance was “never good enough.”

Brosnan portray James Bond in four films including  007 –Goldeneye (1995), Tomorrow Never Dies(1997), The World is Not Enough (1999) and Die Another Day (2002).

“I felt I was caught in a time warp between Roger [Moore] and Sean [Connery].

“It was a very hard one to grasp the meaning of, for me. The violence was never real; the brute force of the man was never palpable. It was quite tame, and the characterization didn’t have a follow-through of reality — it was surface. But then that might have had to do with my own insecurities in playing him as well.”

The Telegraph asked if he ever rewatches his Bond films, and he commented that “I have no desire to watch myself as James Bond. Because it’s just never good enough — it’s a horrible feeling.”

Brosnan next big feature film mis along side Emma Thompson in a romantic comedy, The Love Punch, where they play a happily divorced couple trying to recover retirement money that was stolen from them.

Brosnan next appears opposite Emma Thompson in romantic comedy heist film, The Love Punch, playing a happily divorced couple trying to recover retirement money that was stolen from them.

Speaking of that role, Brosnan said, “It was enormous fun. No acting required. Just show up and have a good time.”
