Netherlands New Tax Incentive May Boost Europe’s Film Industry

Netherlands is actively working on taking over the film industry.

We recently reported that the country Georgia has increased their tax incentives to 20% now, according to Variety, the Netherlands are offering a 30% grant to all TV shows and movies filming in the country.

From Variety:

Aside from inimitable locations, good infrastructure and experienced English-speaking crews, the Netherlands offers filmmakers a generous 30% grant — a production incentive launched in May 2014. The rebate aims to reinforce the competitive position of the Dutch film industry.

For productions looking outside of the United States, this is a great opportunity but, it does put pressure on Georgia’s ever growing film industry.

However, Netherland’s film grant puts a limit on their spending while Georgia does not.
