Resident Evil, directed by Bronwen Hughes at Constantin Film, stars well-known actors such as Lance Reddick, Ella Balinska, and Tamara Smart. In addition to the A-listers, Resident Evil cast Siena Agudong, Adeline Rudolph, and Paola Nunez.

As a result of the first season, Resident Evil has become one of the most popular series on Netflix. The show debuted simultaneously with Stranger Things’ current season and was watched by 72.7 million people in its initial week, putting it in the second spot. In its third week, it dropped to #3 with 73.3 million hours viewed and entirely out of the top 10 (1-10). The series also garnered an adverse reaction from critics, with a 55% average review score on Rotten Tomatoes and a 27 percent audience rating. At the same time, Metacritic gave it a 53 (out of 100) Metascore among critics and a 1.4 (out of 10) user score.
